What a great saying! I guess I think this saying is great because while it's talking about fear, I hear it talking about faith. For when you and I refuse to live in fear, we have the possibility to stand in faith.

In the life of every fully functioning Christian, relationships are at the core of everything they do. Say that to the modern church attender and you will most likely get a blank stare with a polite nod as they try to process your statement through the religious lens of a typical Sunday Serv-Us. Why? Well because much of the modern church rarely emphasizes the biblical reality that ALL Christians are to be HIGHLY relational.

In most everything in life - simple is better! So many times we just make things so difficult, when there really not that complicated! I don’t know if it makes us feel better to struggle, like we have finally overcome some great obstacle, (many times the obstacle is something we put there in the first place!) or if it's just part of the curse

Take a look at John chapter 9, in this chapter of scripture we see a story of a man who was blind from birth and who had a powerful encounter with Jesus. What makes this story so great – beyond the fact that the blind man is healed – is that we see not just the power of his experience, but the power of his story. In the modern church world we call this story our “Testimony”. But, for our purpose we'll loose the christianese, and just call it our story.
