Have you ever wanted to share Jesus but just didn’t know what to say? Almost always when we think about sharing the gospel, we think about what we are going to say. But I want to challenge that thought and suggest that you don’t think about talking - but instead listening. We need first to understand those we are relating to before we seek to be understood.

My Dad always used to say it this way; “ God gave you two ears and only one mouth for a reason, so make sure you listen twice as much as you speak!” While my Dad was not a spiritual man, he did understand the needs of people, and people need to be heard. So the next time you choose to share Jesus, make sure to take time to listen before you speak, you may be surprised at how open and easy sharing becomes.
